Glencadam Single Malt Whisky Launched In Malaysia

In partnership with Glencadam, alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages importer Single Malt has launched a range of highly-rated single malt whisky in Malaysia.
Glencadam whisky is a type of Scotch produced at the Glencadam Distillery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland.
Glencadam is known for its single malt whisky, made from 100% malted barley and distilled using traditional copper pot stills.
Master distiller Ian Forteath said Glencadam is a Highland whisky, meaning it is produced in the Highland region of Scotland, known for its diverse range of whisky styles.
Glencadam American Oak is matured only in hand-selected ex-bourbon barrels, and has just been awarded Gold at the 2023 IWSC.

Glencadam whisky is known for its unique flavour profile, which can vary depending on the specific expression and maturation.
Generally, Glencadam whiskies are known for their fruity and floral notes, with hints of citrus, vanilla, and spices.
They are typically unpeated, meaning they do not have a smoky flavour profile like some other types of Scotch whiskies.

Forteath spoke at a recent whisky-tasting event in Kuala Lumpur to introduce the Glencadam range.
They comprise the non-age stated Glencadam Origin 1825, Gelncadam American Oak Reserve, Gelncadam Reserva Andalucia, Glencadam 10 Year Old, Glencadam 13 Year Old, Glencadam 15 Year Old and the prestigious Glencadam 25 Year Old.
The Glencadam Distillery has a long history, with production dating back to 1825, and it has changed ownership several times over the years.
Today, Glencadam is owned by Angus Dundee Distillers Ltd., and their whiskies are available in various age statements and limited editions, catering to a wide range of whisky enthusiasts.
Over the years, Glencadam whiskies have received numerous awards and recognition from various competitions and tasting events.
Some of the awards won by Glencadam whiskies in the past include:
- Glencadam 10 Year Old: Silver Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2019.
- Glencadam 15 Year Old: Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2017.
- Glencadam 18 Year Old: Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) in 2018.
- Glencadam 21 Year Old: Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019.
- Glencadam 25 Year Old: Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) in 2017.
- Glencadam Single Cask Editions: Several individual casks of Glencadam whiskies have also won awards at various whisky competitions and events, showcasing the brand’s craftsmanship and unique flavour profiles.
