There’s A Floral Festival In Putrajaya Until This 4 September!

Royal Floria Putrajaya 2022 is a floral festival that offers various flower & garden related activities with other entertainments held annually in Putrajaya.

Royal Floria Putrajaya 2022 is an annual flower and garden festival that’s been going on since 2007. Originally named Floria Putrajaya & Garden Festival then Floria Putrajaya, this festival usually lasts around 10 days but is cut shorter this year (7 days).

It had been cancelled for two years due to Covid-19 and is back for its 13th time. Usually done in conjunction with Merdeka Day annually, this garden festival is the top event in Putrajaya’s busy calendar.

The last Floria in 2019 recorded over 1,000,000 attendance which featured 61 showcase garden lots of ornamental flowers and plants.

This year’s flower theme is the recurring Orchid theme so you’ll be seeing lots of those at the festival. According to The Star, the exhibition brings together approximately 10,000 orchid plants apart from 400,000 flowering plants from various species.

“The 25 main components of Floria on display include the ‘Wall of Orchids’ which brings together more than 300 orchids in addition to ‘Oncidium Tunnel’ with 10 iron structures shaped like tunnels as the royal route,” said Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud, the Putrajaya Corporation President.

Other types of flowers and plants that will be showcased there are Bonsai, Bromeliad, Hibiscus, Heliconia, Rose, Bougainvillea, Begonia, Lily, Chrysanthemum and many more.

Some of the plants will also be available for sale at the Floria Bazaar to attract plant lovers. You can enjoy the flower exhibition during the day and the beautiful display of garden lights at night. It’s an insta-worthy place to be at this week.

Actually, there are many more activities to be held at the place. There’s even going to be performances and concerts by Malaysian artistes.
