It’s been well over a month since we had a quick getaway to Jeju island, but we still can’t get over the luxurious stay we had at the Grand Hyatt Jeju resort hotel.

Opened as part of the Jeju Dream Tower, Grand Hyatt Jeju is an integrated resort that offers visitors a glamorous experience on their South Korean holiday and enjoy a taste of the luxurious Korean ‘Gangnam’ lifestyle.

Overlooking Jeju’s tallest mountain, Mount Hallasan, the 38-storeys twin-tower complex showcases the best of modern Korea and is the tallest man-made structure on Jeju – providing an amazing 360° view of the island’s metropolitan area.

Located in the heart of Jeju’s vibrant city, the resort serves as an ideal base to go off exploring the island.

The resort features 1,600 guest rooms and includes 14 different restaurants and bars to cater to any fancy foodie, two premium spas for some classy relaxation time, residential-style event spaces and an outdoor pool deck with a heated infinity pool fit for the opulent urbanite.

The resort also hosts loads of other amenities and attractions like the HAN Collection mall which showcases a wide range of fashion options from luxurious to contemporary to casual and streetwear clothing and accessories made by 200 talented local K-fashion designers.

For those who are feeling lucky, the resort also houses the Jeju Dream Tower Casino which features 190 gaming tables and 219 machines to make your luxury dreams come true.

A dream stay

The resort welcomes visitors in with an enchanting display of lights and architecture and artistic sculptures.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of the Grand Hyatt’s lavish rooms that are furnished with minimalistic modern design which includes an extravagant king-size bed and a plush bathroom setup complete with rainfall showers and one extra fancy bathtub.

The highlight of our stay at the hotel was definitely the mesmerising views from the 2.7-meter-high floor-to-ceiling window that allows for spectacular bird’s eye views of Jeju island.

Of course the food there was not to be missed too! The resort serves a wide option of authentic local Korean and international cuisine, including popular Chinese and Western menu favourites.

Among our favourite restaurants at the resort was, Pocha, which showcases modern Korean street food and evergreen favourites like chicken and beer as well as deliciously fresh seafood pancakes.

We also had some of the best fresh abalone, crabs and lobsters that were fished out of Jeju’s waters at the Grand Kitchen’s Las Vegas-style buffet.

Overall we definitely had an extravagantly relaxing stay at the Grand Hyatt Jeju. For more details on how you can make your own glamorous holiday on Jeju a dream come true, check out TRP’s travelogue, HERE.
