Jeju-do, South Korea is a beautiful volcanic island where the sky meets the sea. The island’s charming atmosphere and dreamy landscapes create the perfect setting for anyone looking for a romantic getaway. 

In fact, Jeju’s captivating sceneries are iconic set pieces for famous K-dramas that many K-loving Malaysians love to watch and dream their own love stories around.

An island getaway wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the beach. Jeju island is surrounded by dazzling blue coastlines like the Aewol Handam Coastal Trail where you can catch spectacular views of the sea and enjoy refreshing drinks at beachside cafes.

Enjoy a forest re-tree-t!

Jeju island is home to enchanting temperate and subtropical forests that are filled with life and perfect for all you adventurous types out there to explore.

For example, the Seogwipo Forest of Healing has 11km of magical trails for one to wander off through surrounded by a canopy of cypress and cedar trees. Among the reasons why they call it a healing forest is that the woodland also hosts a range of educational and spa-like programs to help visitors relax among the trees.

There’s fun for the whole squad on Jeju. Take the kids out to meet Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts cast at Snoopy Garden or race downhill and enjoy arcade games at the Jeju Monolith 9.81 Park.

There are loads of other fun-themed amusements on Jeju like the Arte Museum where you can take fantastic photos for your IG feed.

Holiday on the highlands!

Listed as one of UNESCO’s World Natural Heritage List Seongsan Ilchulbong or Sunrise Peak is a 182-meter-high mountain that visitors can climb using a set of winding steps to catch spectacular views of the island.

Getting to the top can also give you some bragging rights to say that you’ve conquered a world-famous mountain. You can also take part in other activities like horseback riding.

The capital city of Jeju island is filled with fantastic spots for one to explore. Stop by the famous Nuwemaru Street to go cafe and bar hopping or visit the teeming Dongmun Market to taste authentic Korean food.
