Money Heist lovers, listen up! If you love the original Spanish Money Heist series, you’ll love the new Korean version of it.

The show has the same storyline, the same characters, and the same red jumpsuits, but with a unique Korean dramatic twist!

It features the fictional story of the two Korean countries (South Korea and North Korea) joining hands and printing a new unified currency to signify their fresh union.

Conveniently, the union is done in an area called the Joint Economic Area (JEA).

In conjunction with Netflix’s Money Heist: Korea released on 24 June, Netflix Malaysia is joining in on the heist with our very own real-life JEA invasion in KL!

If you don’t know where to find the place, just look for a mansion that looks like this. You won’t miss it, we promise you.

You can join the heist too!

Experience how a heist works first-hand at Jalan Batai in Bukit Damansara. And the best part is, everything is free!

You’ll be given a red jumpsuit and a mask (which you get to keep) and plenty of cool photo opportunities!

To join in on the heist, you’d need to register online, HERE, and book your slots. NO WALK-INs are allowed!

You’ll receive an email detailing the time, rules and location of the heist, and all that’s left to do is to show up and have a good time!

Every activity from planning the heist (Heist 101 classroom with the Professor), the treasure hunt (Tokyo’s room), the computer-hacking (Rio’s room), the money-printing (Nairobi’s room), the code-cracking (the vault), to the celebratory win at the end, can be experienced at Malaysia’s JEA branch.

It’s best to come in a group for more fun.

But hey, even if you’re a lone-ranger, no worries, you’ll be placed into groups of 5 to 6 people to enjoy the full experience.

And each group will be given 30 minutes to complete the heist.

Please keep in mind that for each sign-up, you’d only be registering for one person. So if you wanna bring friends, make sure all of them register with the link.

JEA Malaysian Branch is open to the public from 25 June – 10 July from 6 pm – 10 pm on weekdays, and 10 am – 10 pm on weekends.

Same-same but different series

In this new remake of Money Heist, South Korea and North Korea are friends (well, almost) that are on the verge of unification.

The new-Korean government have plans on creating a new currency and is storing valuable treasures at a place called the Unified Korea Mint (UKM).

A group of thieves codenamed: Berlin, Tokyo, Moscow, Denver, Nairobi, Rio, Helsinki, and Oslo who are led by a person known as “The Professor” are aiming to steal 4 trillion won from UKM — making it the biggest heist in history.

Witness how the plot thickens and how the two unified countries deal with this ultimate heist.

Catch the heist on Netflix airing this 24 June.
