So you’re in KL but you just don’t know where to go or what to do? Why not experience the wonders of KL on a bus tour?

This is perfect for those new to the area who wants to explore and see what’s really in KL.

For those experienced KL people, you can also join this if you wanna relax and see the city lights for two hours without actually driving (traffic, hello?).

With the KL Hop On Hop Off bus, the public can enjoy a 2-hour open-top drive in the city to explore the beauty and vibrancy of Kuala Lumpur after dark called the KL City Of Lights (Night Tour).

Where Will You Visit

On this 2-hour tour, the bus will roam around 12 attractions and stop by for 10 minutes around 4 stops. The attractions during nighttime are focused on places with mesmerizing lights.

Among the places that you’ll go through are:

  • Sg Wang Plaza (Pickup & Drop Point)
  • Saloma Link
  • KL Tower
  • China Town
  • Central Market
  • Little India
  • KL Sentral
  • National Palace
  • Merdeka Square
  • River of Life
  • Istana Budaya
  • KLCC

You’ll only stop by KL Tower, National Palace, River of Life and also KLCC for 10 minutes. There, you can quickly get off the bus for a 10-minute photo session with the place.

But all of this would depend on the traffic situation at the time. If the traffic is congested and there’s no room for the bus parks (especially KLCC), you might have to get your pics only from the bus.

How To Buy Tickets

At night, there’s only one slot, which is at 8 pm. So for those who wanna go on the trip, you would have to be there physically 30 minutes before so you don’t miss the bus. Their only boarding and drop-off station is at Stop 1 Bukit Bintang (located next to Sungei Wang Plaza’s main entrance).

You can get the tickets online, with an authorized agent, or physically at their ticket station only at Main Kiosk Stop 1 Bukit Bintang.

The tickets are priced as below:

Malaysians
Adult – RM35
Children – RM20

Non-Malaysians
Adult – RM55
Children – RM30

When you’re buying the tickets, keep in mind that you’re not booking the seats (free seating concept). The seats are on a first come first serve basis, so whoever comes first gets the best seats!

Also, no food or drinks are allowed while you’re on the bus, but you can bring along your mineral water.

They Have Their Day Tours Too

For the day trip, it’s even cheaper and it tours a lot more places (but it’s hotter though).

They have two options for the day tour, one during the weekdays (Ronda Ronda KL) and one during the weekends (Hop On Hop Off). For the day trips, they have around 17 attractions like these:

  • Sg Wang Plaza (Pickup & Drop Point)
  • Swiss Garden
  • China Town
  • Central Market
  • Little India
  • KL Sentral
  • National Museum
  • National Palace
  • Lake Garden
  • Bird Park
  • National Mosque
  • Merdeka Square
  • Medan MARA
  • KLCC
  • MaTIC
  • KL Tower
  • Aquaria

The weekday ride is a similar 2-hour tour as the night trip while the weekend ride is based on a Hop On Hop Off / Excursion concept.

For day trips on weekends, you can hop on at any 17 stops listed there (buy tickets physically on the bus) and hop off at any stop to spend time there. If you want to travel to another stop, you’ll just have to wait at the bus stop every 30-40 minutes and another bus will come to pick you up.

Check out their Facebook and website for more info on timing and prices.

Just to clarify, these ‘Hop On Hop Off’ rides are different from Go KL bus rides (free rides around KL) and Rapid KL bus rides (paid rides around KL).

Happy Touring, peeps!
