You wanna go camping but you can’t stand the difficulties of being in the woods? No beds, no appropriate toilets, no deliciously cooked food? But you still wanna experience nature, in the best way?

No worries. We think glamping is for you! It’s still camping, but glamorously! These are perfect for those people who wanna have fun with nature but still need some basic urban facilities near them.

And what’s great about this list is that these places are all located near the Klang Valley, so you wouldn’t have to drive too far for multiple hours just to get out of the busy city life.

Here are some of the suggestions for good glamping places around you.

1. Colina Camping & Glamping by Le Quadri Hotel KL (KL)

If it’s done by a hotel, you know it’ll be glamourous. Colina or ‘hill’ meaning in Spanish, is a hilltop enclave near the area of Le Quadri Hotel.

They have ordinary tents for camping and wide tents with beds and nice decors, for glamping. But for both packages, you can use and experience their BBQ pits, sports facilities, hot and cold jungle pools, forest saunas, and also guided hiking near the Bukit Besi trail.

2. Camp Out Sunway Lagoon (KL)

You do realise that it takes more than one day to fully enjoy every ride in Sunway Lagoon, right? And that doesn’t include the multiple repeats on your favourite rides.

Fear not, Sunway Lagoon has a camp-out space for you to spend the night there and continue your adventure the next day.

They provide camping facilities like tents with beds and portable airconds, private pools, BBQ dinner, breakfast and lounge area to spend time playing games with your friends.

3. GLOW Glamping @ Wetland (Putrajaya)

Located at Putrajaya’s Wetland Park, this new campsite has just opened in December last year.

GLOW offers a 2-day and 1-night stay with free all-day access to their facilities and amenities. These include archery, trampoline, swing, field playing area and indoor games. For night entertainments, they also have fire shows, karaoke, campfire and barbeque dinner.

If you wanna get a bit more adventurous, you can enjoy their ATV rides and stand up paddle activity with additional charges.

4. River & Glamp (Ulu Yam)

You know it’s real camping when you see a river.

This place is located at Nur Taman bestari Eco Resort in Ulu Yam, 20 minutes away from Batu Caves. Here, you can enjoy activities like cycling, ATV, river tubing, kayak, archery and more.

5. The Hid3out (Ulu Yam)

This glamping place is said to be only 20 minutes from KL, but it depends on which part of KL you’re coming from, of course.

Over here, they have basic camping activities you would enjoy with your big family or friends like sitting across a bonfire and activities by the river.

6. Moon Kissed by The River (Hulu Langat)

Their tents are equipped with beds, portable aircond, fans, and electric kettle. They also have sites for private fireplaces and BBQ pits for each glamping sites. You can also enjoy water activities like swimming in the river beside the campsite.

Although it’s also the same with the others above, this place has one unique rule. No kids are allowed.

With a strict no-kids-below-17 year old policy, this place is suitable for those adults who wanna relax and be surrounded by breathtaking nature. Depending on which tents you choose, their tents are equipped with beds, fans, little tables and chairs, drinking and tap water, cooler box, fresh cut flowers and more.

8. Sekeping Serendah (Serendah)

Take your glamping experience to the next level with this ‘atas’ camping site in Serendah. You are surrounded by nature but with a resort-like accommodation.

These are perfect for those who yearn for aesthetic jungle vibes in their OOTDs. Instead of tents, they have transparent and open sheds that ‘float gently’ across the forest floor.

The activities that you can do here are swimming, jungle tracking, BBQ sessions or just chillax at your peaceful sheds in the jungle. Additionally, you can visit cascading waterfalls, go fishing and visit Orang Asli villages (with permission) outside of the retreat if you want to, at your own expense.

9. Castra By Colony (KL)

If you want a super luxe experience of glamping but in KL, you can try this. Although it’s not technically nature, it is glamping, Mediterranean style.

Castra is a luxury encampment on a rooftop terrace in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle and they have two Mediterranean-inspired luxe tents for those who want to experience the outdoors, from another perspective.
