Genting SkyWorlds has already opened its gates for a soft opening on 8 February. If you’re planning a trip there with your loved ones, make use of the 20% discount from its published rates for bookings until 31 March 2022.
During this soft opening period, some attractions, rides, and offerings will be operating on a limited-basis, while some remain unavailable to guests as they are still in the final commissioning process.
To get the most of your visit, here are seven quintessential tips to maximise your adventure at Genting SkyWorlds.
1. Book your tickets in advance for guaranteed entry
Park capacity for Genting SkyWorlds during the soft opening period will be limited. As such, guests should plan their trip ahead and secure tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Guests can conveniently book their tickets online via the official website at www.gentingskyworlds.com or via Genting SkyWorlds Mobile App (downloadable via Google Play, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery*).
*The App will only be available on the Huawei App Gallery in April 2022
2. Download the Genting SkyWorlds Mobile App
The Genting SkyWorlds Mobile App is absolute essential for your visit to the theme park. With real-time information, the app enables guests to navigate and experience the park effectively.
You can also check wait times for rides, attractions, and shows, as well as receive promotional offers and vouchers. On top of that, guests can also discover dining, shopping, skill games, photo services, and locate amenities at the touch of the screen.
The app also integrates with the Virtual Queue (VQ) – our attraction reservation and Itinerary Planning service. This feature allows guests to make reservations for selected attractions and experiences prior to and during their visit to Genting SkyWorlds.
The VQ experience also allows guests to:
- pre-book preferred time slots for rides and attractions,
- create and edit boarding groups for multiple ticket holders,
- view recommended itineraries from personal preferences, and
- receive real-time alerts for bookings, among other features.
3. Plan your visit
Once you have your tickets and the mobile app downloaded, it’s time to plan your trip. To maximise your time at Genting SkyWorlds, utilise the app to familiarise yourself with the park and identify your preferred rides and attractions.
As they say, getting there is half the fun. There are numerous ways to get to Genting SkyWorlds. For those coming from the Klang Valley, the quickest way is perhaps by car.
You may park your car at SkyAvenue and follow the wayfinding to the theme park. Other convenient ways of getting to the resort include bus, e-hailing rides or taking the AwanaSkyWay cable car from Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.
Enjoy an amazing bird’s-eye view of the theme park from the cable car ride, an experience not to be missed!
4. Pack all essentials
For the best experience at Genting SkyWorlds, guests should wear comfortable clothes and covered shoes. It is advisable to bring a jacket or cardigan as the weather in Genting Highlands can get chilly.
A spare change of clothes may be necessary, as some rides may get guests wet! Locker facilities are conveniently available for rent for guests to securely store their personal belongings.
Please note that outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the theme park. However, Genting SkyWorldsdoes offer an amazing selection of food and beverage outlets to cater to a variety of taste buds, dietary needs, and budgets.
5. Cashless Theme Park
Genting SkyWorlds is a cashless theme park, hence, do prepare your Genting e-Wallet to make any purchases.
All you need to do is set up your e-Wallet through Resorts World Genting’s mobile app or get your GeMCard to make purchases in Genting SkyWorlds.
E-Wallet kiosks are available in-park for new purchases, reload and/or refund. Genting SkyWorlds also supports other contactless payment methods such as:
- Credit / Debit Cards
- QR Pay or E-wallets provided by T’nG, Alipay, WeChat, Maybank, Grab Pay&Boost Pay
6. Safety first!
Genting SkyWorlds places the health, safety, and security of its guests above all else. The theme park is open to fully vaccinated guests.
Non-vaccinated guests who are 12 years old and below and from the same household are allowed to enter the theme park accompanied by fully vaccinated guests.
To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience, it is essential that guests adhere to all rules, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) such as wearing a face mask at all times, MySejahtera QR scanning for contact tracing, using contactless or cashless payment as well as practising physical distancing.
7. Above all, be prepared to embark on a fun-filled adventure!
