Don’t Know Where To Go In Cameron Highlands? Try These 20 Places

Cameron Highland is one of the wonderful places to visit in Malaysia that’s perfect for nature lovers.

Located in the Titiwangsa Range, and named after a government geologist and explorer, William Cameron, it’s known for its chilly, refreshing and breathtaking environment, making it one of the oldest tourist spots in Malaysia since 1930.

Thanks to a Twitter account called @JalanCutiSantai, they’ve compiled some of the best places to pay a visit to when you’re in Cameron Highlands. Here are some of the recommended places along with their details.

1. Sungai Palas BOH Tea Garden

This is one of the most popular tea plantations in Cameron Highlands. They have a free tour through their tea factories and they also have a cafe serving various dishes for brunch, breakfast or high tea.

Operation Hours: 8.30 am – 4.30 pm (Mondays Off)

Tickets: Free

2. Bharat Tea Plantation

This place is where the signature “Cameron Valley Tea” comes from.

Address: 34 Mile Cameron Highland, 39000 Tanah Rata Pahang

Operation Hours: 9 am – 4 pm

Tickets: RM3

3. Cameron Valley Tea House 1 & 2

You can take a stroll to a small park and waterfall in the valley of Tea House 1. Tea House 2 offers the same view but with a much bigger space. Both places have decks that look out the valley and shops where you can purchase their teas.

4. Cameron Adventurous

This is a place for those thrill-seekers. You can experience riding two kinds of ATVs or a 4×4 Safari Landrover to explore the spacious and beautiful tea plantations.

Operation Hours: 10 am – 5.30 pm (weekdays) 9 am – 6 pm (weekend)

5. Cameron Highland Night Market

This night market sells native products of Cameron Highland including fresh crops, fruits, veggies, flowers, plants, souvenirs and a plethora of street food.

6. MARDI Agro Technology Park

This is an agricultural research station that cultivates various types of flowers like roses, fruits like strawberries and citrus, vegetables and more.

7. Strawberry Farm & Cafe / YZ Agro Farm

This strawberry farm and also cafe serves local lunch dishes and western high tea delicacies like scones with strawberry jams.

8. KHM Strawberries & Jam

Apart from having a strawberry farm too, this place offers various strawberry flavoured dishes such as nasi lemak with strawberry sambal.

9. Cactus Point

This is one of the oldest flower nurseries in Cameron Highlands selling a variety of cacti along with other local and exotic plants.

This one is a botanical show garden that also features a collection of cacti, flowers and ornamental plants.

11. Lavender Farm

The lavender farm has different types of flowers for show and beautiful decorations for you to see. While you’re there, try their Lavender ice cream too.

12. Butterfly Park

Enjoy seeing and learning the habitats of various types of butterflies, insects and animals at this butterfly farm. Look out for a species of butterfly named “Rajah Brooke” too while you’re there.

13. Cameron Highland Bee Farm

There are three bee farms here which are the Cameron Tringkap Bee Farm, Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm and Highlands Apiary. Pay a visit there and learn all about beekeeping.

14. Time Tunnel Museum

Enjoy this fascinating museum that displays a horde of memorabilia, artefacts and collectables from Cameron Highlands’ old days.

15. Fragrance Nursery

This nursery is one of the major suppliers of potted plants for the whole country. Currently, their nursery is only available for wholesale tropical plants and greens as well as fruits such as grapes.

16. Brinchang Kea Farm Market

This is a great place for you to do your shopping for fresh produce from the farmers at Cameron Highlands. From vegetables and fruits to fresh flowers, this open-air market is open every day.

17. Orchid & Rose Garden

This is a perfect place for those who love flowers. You can also buy potted plants and some vegetables too here.

18. Flora Park

Remember the viral place with people posing on majestic white stairs in a bed of purple flowers? It’s this place. They offer picnic deals where you can picnic at their instagrammable spots (food not included) but you can’t directly come here by driving. There’s a pickup point where trucks will take the visitors up the bumpy hills.

19. A’moss Farmstay

This farm stay looks like a fantasy hobbit home near the gardens. It’s actually a glamping site for true nature lovers as you can hike and also learn all about farming here.

20. The Sheep Sanctuary

Are you one of those real animal lovers? You can visit this place to pet, feed, touch and take pictures with these lovely and fluffy sheep. The entrance fee also includes a small box for you to feed the sheep.

There you go. Some of these places are open every day while some do have their off days. You’ll need quite a few days to visit all of these places so plan your vacation wisely.
