Domestic travel is back in full swing and Malaysians have built quite the appetite for the revenge vacation.
Social media throwbacks of trips taken in the past are now being replaced with current snaps at last.
For those who made the trip to Sarawak or are planning to, you can now put those pictures or videos to good use and partake in Sarawak Tourism Board’s (STB) first-ever photography and videography competition.
It’s happening now and STB is calling for people to submit their work showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of Sarawak.

The competition was launched on Tuesday (9 November) with STB’s Chief Executive Officer Sharzede Datu Haji Salleh Askor encouraging Malaysians to take this opportunity to share their perspectives of Sarawak, especially in highlighting the vibrancy and authenticity of the state.
We look forward to discovering Malaysians’ take on Sarawak’s culture, adventure, nature, food and festivals, and urge them to grab their cameras and showcase the state in all its multifaceted splendour!

Your Creative Journey, Awaits
The competition is open to all Malaysians and submissions are from now until 30 November.
Materials should not be more than three years old and MUST capture Sarawak’s culture, adventure, nature, food and festival (CANFF) alongside a short description or caption.
Each participant can submit up to five photographs per category.
Photo / Video Requirements
- Photograph submissions should be in jpg format 8”x12” x 300dpi and without watermarks.
- Video entries should NOT be longer than three minutes and in mp4 with 4K resolution in 16:9 format.
- Submissions are to be uploaded to https://stb.foto.org.my/
- Photos and videos submitted will become the property of the organiser.
- All winning materials are authorised under the copyright of Sarawak Tourism Board with credit given to the photographer/videographer where applicable.
Do note that all photographs and videos must comply with the Rules and Regulations of the competition and any entry that does not follow the terms and conditions will be disqualified.

Judging will be decided by a panel of hand-picked judges and winners will be announced on Sarawak Tourism Board and Sarawak Photo Art Society’s Facebook and website https://stb.foto.org.my or www.spas.com.my.
