If you grew up in the early 00’s, you will definitely have seen or heard of Cowboy Bebop– even if you’ve never actually watched the show.
Although Cowboy Bebop is only 1 season long, the 26 episodes it has shot to fame both as a cult classic and is often coined ‘a masterpiece of storytelling’.
If you’re not familiar with the story, it draws heavily from science fiction, spaghetti Westerns, and noir films, although it also does explore a variety of genres and topics such as existentialism and the escapism.
Basically, regardless of what you like to watch, there’s definitely something for you in Cowboy Bebop: space, cowboys, music, philosophy, comedy, mystery, thrills? In just 26 episodes, Cowboy Bebop will deliver it all.
There’s a reason why the anime, first released in 1998, is still a fan-favourite and has elevated anime to a higher standard.
The original anime season with all 26 episodes from 1998 will be made available on Netflix beginning 21 October at 3pm.
