Yes, 2020 has been a difficult year for us all, and likely the most difficult year of our lives for some. A year ago, no-one could have foreseen the physical, emotional, and economic toll that this terrible virus has unleashed upon the world.
Interestingly, it is this same reality that has taught us to appreciate the little things in life. It forced us to slow down and allowed us the chance to enjoy the everyday things that we took for granted, and sometimes missed altogether.
Like spending time with loved ones, watching our children grow, and smelling the roses.
This same sentiment is shared with Xiaomi Malaysia who seeks to capture the positive moments in our lives amidst these unprecedented times in their latest online photography contest.
In collaboration with The National Art Gallery of Malaysia, the “Good Things During Bad Times” campaign is meant to remind each other to look on the brighter side of life.
In these challenging times, building positivity is pivotal to the emotional wellbeing within the society.

“Good Things During Bad Times” is open to all Malaysians
The contest, which runs from now until 31 December 2020, encourages all Malaysians to participate by submitting entries on their own respective Instagram profiles.
Entries will be judged by a panel of professional curators from the National Art Gallery.
The top 25 entries will be announced on Thursday, 6 January 2021, and the winning photographs will be exhibited on the National Art Gallery’s official website.
Winners will also receive prizes from Xiaomi, such as the new Mi 10T Pro, and the Mi Portable Photo Printer.
We are honoured and excited to be partnering with a prestigious organisation such as The National Art Gallery of Malaysia. We believe that this collaboration will not just inspire creativity among Malaysians but also bring everyone closer through the storytelling of each photography entry.
