Malaysians can breathe a sigh of relief as the massively popular – and highly anticipated- Uniqlo AIRism mask will finally be available in Malaysia from 14 September onwards!

This is the very face mask that witnessed long-queues that went viral when it released in Japan and Singapore earlier this year.

Why the AIRism face mask is so popular

One of the main reasons for this popularity is the simple fact that Uniqlo’s AIRism innerwear series is just so damn comfortable

The fabric is lightweight and breathable – basically a godsend to hot and humid Malaysia.

With the AIRism face mask, this fabric is incorporated into a triple-layer structure to ensure protection.

According to Uniqlo’s website, the outer layer of the mask consists of a mesh fabric that can block up to 90% of ultraviolet rays while the inner is the moisture-wicking AIRism fabric. Sandwiched between the two is a filter that blocks bacteria and pollen.

The masks are also washable, and will hold up for at least up to 20 washes before it begins losing it’s filtration efficiency.

However, it is important to note that the Uniqlo AIRism face mask is not a medical grade mask – and therefore, cannot guarantee to prevent the transmission of diseases.

What will I get on 14 September?

AIRism face masks will be available in three sizes – small (18cm x 12cm), medium (22cm x 14cm) and large (23cm x 14.5cm) – and only in black or white colours.

A pack of three face masks will retail for RM39.90 and can be purchased at Uniqlo stores or online (HERE).
