Local YouTube sensation Sugu Pavithra received the official Silver Play Button from YouTube, the first in the YouTube Creator Awards, for having over 100,000 subscribers.
They announced the award in a video on their channel where they unboxed it together with their family in a celebratory dinner.
They thanked the community for the support and lovely comments they have received. They mentioned their humble beginnings in an estate with a minimal kitchen, and are grateful that this YouTube opportunity had improved their lives.
This award is meant for all of you (the fans and subscribers), not just for us.

Sugu Pavithra has made waves in the country for sharing their Malaysian recipes and their delightful down-to-earth personalities. The husband-wife duo first started uploading videos in January 2020, and quickly won the hearts of Malaysians all over, garnering them over 773k subscribers at the time of writing.
They have even met and received gifts from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is apparently a fan.
Sugu Pavithra is on their way to getting the Gold Play Button, which is awarded once the channel reaches 1,000,000 subscribers.
