Since the MCO came into effect, have you done much of anything else other than watch TV? Of course not! Malaysian’s love TV!
So, if lazing on the couch (or in bed!) in front of the telly is something you enjoy. Then you will rejoice at the fact that Astro GO and iflix are both offering free content while we observe the MCO.
iflix
The local streaming service has shared a free VIP Access code that everyone can use.
If you’ve never used iflix before, its VIP Access allows users to enjoy the service without advertisements and also provides access to premium content.
Usually, the VIP Access is available during their one month trial period while subsequent subscription would cost you RM10 per month.
If you already have an account but not VIP Access, just the enter the code provided in their Facebook post in iflix’s website to redeem the free VIP access.
BTW, the code is only valid until 31 March 2020.
Astro
The local satellite TV provider has unlocked all their channels for free viewing on both Astro and Astro GO during the MCO. The unlocked channels include HBO, FOX Movies, Celestial Movies, BollyOne, tvN Movies and more.
Unfortunately, this offer only applies to existing Astro customers.
However, the movies and tv shows carried on their platforms can be streamed anywhere and at any time on the Astro GO app as well.
All Malaysians can view these for free by downloading the app on App Store or Google Play. If you’re watching on a laptop or desktop, you can access Astro GO here.
If you’re signed up with NJOI, you’ll get free access to two extra channels: KIX and Nat Geo WILD.
This complimentary viewing offer ends at 11.59pm on 31 March 2020.
