Want To Help Fellow Malaysians? Caremongering Is Here To The Rescue
The average Malaysian may take the Movement Control Order as a little bit of an inconvenience, but there are plenty more people who would have to completely rearrange their lives.
In times of crisis, the ones who suffer the most are the vulnerable.
The elderly who live alone, the homeless, the single-parent families are among those may face uncertainty these two weeks.

In an effort to provide help where help is needed, Malaysians have started a trend of “caremongering”.
“Caremongering” was first coined in Canada where people’s acts of kindness sparked the term as a positive outlook to the pandemic.
Now, while Malaysia is under the Movement Control Order, the name has been adopted to provide help to the needy.

Whole communities are coming together to provide aid for those who need it.

You can find help as an individual or as an organisation. Similarly, you can offer help as an individual or an organisation.
An interactive Google Map was created in conjunction with Zero Waste Malaysia, to make it easier to connect the local community.
If you want to do some good during this period, feel free to add your name to the list on this Google Form! And if you need any sort of help, don’t hesitate to ask on behalf of yourself or another person.
