Free arts and culture event every 3rd Saturday in the heart of KL!
The Cultural Economy Development Agency (CENDANA) and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has culturally come together in Panggung Rakyat.
Panggung Rakyat acts an arts and cultural platform seeking to educate, engage and energise Malaysia’s diverse cultural heritage.
Over the course of 5 months, Panggung Rakyat will come to life atJalan Raja, every 3rd Saturday of the month between 9 and 11pm.
Panggung Rakyat is a festival not only for the art enthusiasts but also for food lovers and family-oriented Malaysians.
As there are food stalls and family-oriented activities like Wayang Kulit workshops.
CENDANA will be working with local cultural organisations such as PUSAKA and Nusantara Performing Arts Research Center (NusPARC) to bring authentic arts performances to Malaysians and visitors of the show.
Lined up to perform are:
21st September 2019: Portuguese Dance
19th October 2019: Ronggeng Dance
16th November 2019: Kuda Kepang Dance
21st December 2019: Bhangra Dance
