Young M’sian couple takes turn eating with a baby, Twitterjaya has mixed feelings
Twitter user Sherra Ong shared an observation on a young couple with a baby recently, which has drawn many mixed responses.
Ate my late lunch at a warung yesterday. The table next to me was a young couple with their baby.
The wife was holding the baby while her husband eating. After that, he left them to smoke a cigarette.
He came back and grab the baby and let the wife eat.
What’s wrong here? pic.twitter.com/QAHOZjKWas

Sherra’s main gripe was that the wife had to wait for her husband to finish eating and smoking before she could even start eating.
Ladies, it’s time to be firm with your husband that child is both responsibilities.
If you breastfeeding your child, you MUST eat before your husband. Because after you finish eating, you need to feed the child and he can enjoy his meals too.
You are eating for 2!! Remember!!

Many people agreed and showed more concern for the well-being of the baby.
dirty hands, ciggars smell and all then hold the baby? tau tak bau rokok tu akan melekat kat baju? 😞 tak sayang kat anak ke. sebab perangai selfish bapak, both wife and baby had to carry the consequences

Do you know that the smoke will stay on your clothes? Don’t you love your child? Because of one selfish father, both wife and baby will have to face the consequences.
The baby is thirdhand smoker. Babies and newborns are the most at risk. And thirdhand smoke is as dangerous as secondhand smoke.

Nafsu (rokok) melebihi keperluan (isteri lapar + pegang anak).
Sepatutnya makan dulu atau biar isteri makan dulu dengan aman, baru merokok. Kadang otak letak kat kote ni susah juga

Lust (cigarettes) exceeds need (hungry wife + child holding). Should eat first or let the wife eat first, before smoking. Sometimes people need to think out of the box.
And of course, there are those who in turn, found Sherra’s actions invasive.
Hi, don’t u think it’s inappropriate to take pictures of strangers u see on public, post it on social media & make tons of assumptions about them? You never know what they are going through. Unless u ask them & u know exactly what’s going on then it’s fine. We should never judge.

I’m the kind of mom who prefers to hold the baby while my husband eats and then he holds the baby so I can take my time with my meal. I hope to God no one has been judging me and surreptitiously taking pics of my family!

By the way, did you enjoy your food or enjoy watching, taking pictures & judging others?
