Joshua Harris, popularly known as The Joshie-Man among his online fans, and his father are visiting Malaysia from 28 July to 23 August. They’re looking forward to visiting mosques here and meeting their fans and other Malaysians.

For those who have not heard of them, Joshie-Man, a 12-year-old non-speaking autistic British boy, runs the viral “Cake Not Hate” kindness campaign with his father, Dan Harris. The father-and-son duo travelled to mosques all over the world to distribute baked goods to promote inclusion, solidarity, and neurodiversity advocacy.

What is the “Cake Not Hate” campaign?

The “Cake Not Hate” campaign started accidentally after a local mosque in their home city of Peterborough was attacked by a far-right individual in October 2025.

Dan, who founded the global charity Neurodiversity in Business, visited the mosque with his son after the attack to distribute baked goods to worshippers. Dan wanted to reassure the worshippers that the individual who attacked the mosque didn’t represent Peterborough or the larger British public.

Dan said they received hate and threats from far-right individuals for what they do, and this prompted them to think of how racism is affecting Muslims in their city. Despite the negativity they received, they were undeterred by their mission to spread kindness and awareness.

In his latest Facebook post, Dan shared that they were told to leave the country of their birth and go to a Muslim nation if they cared so much about Muslims. Dan and Joshie-Man had visited mosques and met Muslims in different parts of the world, determined to challenge the damaging anti-Muslim narrative promoted by some Western media and political leaders.

Dan added that they’re excited to meet the local community, visit the beautiful mosques in the country, and show that love is stronger than hate. They’re also bringing iPads to give to non-speaking autistic children, which will help the children communicate with their families.

Their followers expressed joy and excitement that they’re planning to visit Malaysia next; some who have offered to host and show them around. Some also shared a list of stunning mosques for them to visit.
