This week, news was abuzz with the sighting of Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg standing next to a Perodua Kelisa in Penang. Reports indicated that he was in Malaysia to film scenes for Netflix’s The Big Fix, together with fellow actors Academy Award-winner Riz Ahmed (Venom, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Chin Han (Mortal Kombat I & II).
It was also the best birthday week for a Penangite known as Raymond Koe, after Wahlberg signed his Kelisa. Koe turns 51 this week.
Posting on TikTok under the handle @koeusedcarpenang, he shared photos of Wahlberg signing the car, along with pictures of himself posing beside his vehicle. Wahlberg’s autograph can be seen on the back of the passenger-side sun visor.

An Instagram user online joked that the small car suddenly has a high value. And because Wahlberg has starred in two Transformers films, a Threads user joked that the Kelisa is about to transform.
During Wahlberg’s work visit here, he was spotted hanging out next to a muruku stall and also paid a visit to the Church of Divine Mercy, where he met the parish priest there.
