Cat lovers will be delighted to hear that a cat park has been opened in Cyberjaya to help care for stray felines in Sepang.
Known as Taman Kucing Cyberjaya, the park in Taman Tasik Cyberjaya has facilities such as an office, a vet clinic, an intensive care unit, a rehabilitation unit and a treatment unit.
The cat park finished building in January 2023 and has sheltered 31 cats. The park has the capacity to house 300 cats and is open to visitors from 9am to 5pm.

According to The Sun, the park was officiated by Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin on 18 March 2023.
During the ceremony, she released several cats from their cages as a symbolic gesture and spent time in the park with the animals.
Sepang Municipal Council chairman Datuk Abdul Hamid Hussain said some strategies had been drawn up for the park, including appointing a panel of part-time veterinarians, holding a spay and neuter programme, and an ‘adoption and release’ programme.
In the future, he plans to collaborate with students in universities and colleges nearby to help look after the animals.
The cat park ultimately serves as a transit for stray cats, and visitors can adopt cats to bring home if they’re interested.
