Harris Jayaraj 2.0: The Trendsetter Does It Again

The Indian music composer mesmerised fans and gave them an unforgettable evening.

Harris Jayaraj, also known as “Isai Minnal”, performed his second concert of the year, Heart of Harris 2.0 at the Axiata Arena last Sunday (19 February 2023).

Organised by Malik Streams Corporation, the show was held following high demand from fans who missed out on his first concert, Heart of Harris, in January.

The 2.0 edition featured many famous singers from Kollywood (South Indian Film Industry), among them Karthik, Krishh, Saindhavi, Haricharan, Harish Raghavendra, Naresh Iyer, Benny Dayal, Diwakar, Sharmila, Haripriya, Christopher Stanley, Vishnupriya, Sunita Sarathy, and Sridhar Sena who entertained the crowd with their talented performances and soulful voices.

Harris also featured his son Nicholas who gave an amazing performance.

There were also local performers in the show such as Santesh, Lock Up (first local Indian band) and Darkey also known as Malaysia’s samba rock artist.

Emcee Jesz, a Malaysian Indian rapper also had the opportunity to share the stage with Harris.

The concert featured three DJs; DJ Dasz, DJ Jay and DJ Jolly who kept the early birds entertained and made sure the energy kept pumping throughout the show.

Harris, the star of the show, fulfilled his promise of making this a bigger and better concert than his first one.

The song selection for the concert consists of his famous and favourite hits.

The concert was divided into 4 sessions. The first session was the feel good, love melodies and soft rock music of Harris.

Then came the session where he played his famous background music from the movies Thuppakki, Yenna Arindhaal and Minnale.

Here Harris brought out his iconic instrument, the electronic guitar piano, which sent chills and made the crowd jump in joy and excitement.

The third session was more of a reprise version of his songs. Before starting the session, he told the crowd that he would like to give them the experience of being in his music studio and the people definitely felt that.

The people were silently enjoying each and every song in this session as the songs were able to touch their emotions and soul.

Then came the fourth session which were all dance numbers and the people brought out their best moves, dancing to the beats of the song.

Before ending the concert, Harris brought all the singers on stage for a chat together with the audience.

The final song was a performance comprising all the singers on stage and it was a musical treat indeed.

The sound system in Axiata Arena made the whole experience even more special as the people could feel the base each time it dropped, could hear the instruments and the singers’ voices crystal clear amid the shouts that were echoing throughout the arena.

Shaam a famous Indian actor was invited as a special guest. A lucky fan had her dreams come true when she was invited on the stage to dance with him.

Former Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan was also invited to the concert as well as Indian film actress Sonia Agarwal.

At the end of the concert, Harris announced that he will be back.
