Extra KTM Trains Will Run During GE15 Weekend For Voters To Vote

The extra trains provided during GE15 are from KL Sentral to Tumpat and Padang Besar this 18 – 20 November.

After the announcement for GE15 was announced last week, Malaysians who have been working outside of their hometown are making plans to go back home and vote this 19 November.

Some plan to drive back home and some would book public transportation such as flights, trains and buses.

For flights, several companies are offering discounts and extra trips during the general election week.

However, flight tickets aren’t always the cheapest option. They’ll increase the prices a bit during peak seasons like this because it’s the nature of the business.

However, you can count on trains and buses to remain their prices. The only problem with that option is their availability. Most tickets are sold out during peak seasons.

Don’t worry, KTMB’s preparing more trains

Luckily for those who wanna travel back home using the train in the peninsula, KTMB is offering a special Keluarga Malaysia service and 8 additional ETS trains for those who wanna go back and vote from 18 – 20 November.

According to BFM News, KTMB is offering 2,520 tickets for ETS and 716 tickets for KL Sentral-Tumpat-KL Sentral.

The Keluarga Malaysia special train service offers trips from KL Sentral to Tumpat and vice versa from 18 – 20 November.

The additional 8 ETS trains offer trips from KL Sentral to Padang Besar and vice versa.

Tickets are now available at the KTMB app, counters and website.
