Attention to all travellers or backpackers!

KTMB is offering a special trip from KL Sentral straight to Hatyai only on the 15th of September!

And you can travel back from Hatyai straight to KL Sentral on the 18th of September!

One trip only just because it’s Malaysia Day

In conjunction with Malaysia Day, KTMB is having one special trip straight to Hatyai from KL without exchanging any stations and another trip from Hatyai to KL Sentral for the round trip. This is not the Gold or Platinum tickets, this is the Express tickets!

Before this, people who wanna travel from KL to Hatyai can only do so by taking the KTMB train (ETS) and alighting at Padang Besar station. From there, the public can take Thailand’s SRT from Padang Besar in Perlis to Hatyai in Thailand.

After this one-trip promotion, the public would have to use the regular KL Sentral – Padang Besar – Hatyai train trip again for other dates.

It’s not only limited, but it’s also cheap too!

Usually, the train ticket price for a trip from KL to Hatyai (one way) would cost around RM80 or RM115 (give or take).

This is because for ETS from KL Sentral to Padang Besar itself costs RM80 for Gold (a bit slower, many stops) and RM105 for Platinum (faster, fewer stops). Then it’s another deal for the SRT tickets (RM7).

But for the Malaysia Day weekend promo, KTMB is offering a one-way ticket of RM75 for a straight trip! This is for the seated coaches, btw.

They also have sleeper coaches with for this trip at the price of RM89 (top bunk) and RM97 (bottom bunk).
