‘Air Force The Movie’ Box Office Collection Reaches RM13 Million, Adi Putra Expresses His Gratitude

Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa, which released in theatres recently, continues to get a good response from the audiences. 

The action thriller film, based on a rescue mission in fictional Namburi, has grossed over RM13 million.

The movie is still seeing a good footfall at the theatres even as the movie’s 41-year-old main actor, Datuk Adi Putra, shared the good news on Instagram.

It is understood that the film directed by Zulkarnain Azhar and Frank See will also find audiences in South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa is presented by the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM).

Five production companies are involved, namely Multimedia Entertainment, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), Astro, FXHammer Films and SixFun Media.

This film tells the story of the Special Air Force (PASKAU) stranded in Namburi after the RMAF plane was shot down by the enemy. 

In Malaysia, the RMAF team launched a mission to rescue them.

Apart from Adi, this movie also features Aiman ​​Hakim Ridza, Nas-T, Sara Ali, Pablo Amirul, Johan As’ari, Luqman Hafidz, Anas Ridzuan, Jack Tan, Iman Corinne, Scha Alyahya and Carmen Soo.

Meanwhile, fans have praised the film despite what critics have said.

Viewers have flooded social media with good reviews, claiming it is the best locally made action film released this year.

Despite fans gushing over the film, reviews from critics have been mixed – with some saying the movie has plenty of rooms for improvement.

Appreciating The Nation’s Military

Many organisations also held movie screenings along with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations.

Among them is Christians for Peace and Harmony in Malaysia (CPHM), which organised a screening in Petaling Jaya recently.

The screening was attended by veterans from the Persatuan Veteran Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (PVATM).

CPHM spokesperson Jason Leong said the purpose is to celebrate diverse communities living together in friendship, peace and harmony in the nation.

The aim is also to further spread the message of peace and harmony in the nation, while appreciating the armed forces at the same time.

We want to thank the veterans who have served our country with bravery and perseverance. We appreciate their service and sacrifice.

Also present at the screening were Malay/Muslim non-governmental organisations (NGOs) including Pertubuhan IKRAM Malaysia and Allied Coordinating Committee of Islamic NGOs (ACCIN).
