Legoland Malaysia in Johor Bahru is celebrating their 10th birthday this 15 September 2022! That’s right, the theme park has been around for a whole decade!
To celebrate their decade-long anniversary, Legoland has a bunch of exciting new things in store for guests as they are expecting quite a crowd.
1. Miniland will now be fully shaded
This central area of the park features many impressive miniature iconic landmarks such as KLCC and Merlion, but built entirely with Legos!
Prior to this, it was exposed to the elements, causing damage to the Lego bricks and also discomfort for guests. However, that won’t be a problem anymore as the entire area will have new shades and cooling fans.
2. New Themed Room In Legoland Hotel
Right now, Legoland has 4 themed rooms: Pirate, Kingdom, Adventure, and Ninjago, each with their own distinct flair and hidden games.
Early next year, park guests will be able to book a brand new themed room, although the park is keeping its theme under wraps at the moment.
3. New Splash Carnival at Water Park
In case you didn’t know, Legoland Malaysia actually has three parks: the main Legoland theme park, the water park, and the aquarium Sealife.
Usually, the themed festivals and events will be held in the main Legoland theme park, but this is the first time ever that the water park will get its own event: the Splash Carnival.
This brand new Splash Carnival will be hosted next summer, so you have plenty of time to get your ‘pool bod’ ready.
4. New 4D Movie at Lego Studio
Legoland will also have a brand new 4D movie for fans to watch exclusively at the Lego Studio. Every year, Legoland aims to prepare a special movie to watch in 4D at their special theatres.
Unlike watching a Lego movie in a regular movie theatre, the ones shown in the Lego Studio are specially calibrated with their 4D theatre for maximum immersive viewing, which will be ready in the second half of 2023.
Of course, that’s just some of the most exciting new stuff to look forward to. Legoland has also assured us that they will still be hosting big-scale festive themed events celebrating Hari Raya and Chinese New Year, plus their own Legoland special festivities like Build The Thrills and Friendship Fest.
Guests will also be able to take part in many promotions, discounts, lucky draws, and many other activities across the park.
Discounted Tickets, Free Entry For Birthday Kids, And More!
For their birthday celebration, they will also introduce a couple of value-for-money exclusive deals.
Children aged 11 and below will get free entry on their birthday week, though accompanying adults will need to purchase a Double or Triple park ticket.
Additionally, kids with a Triple Park Annual Pass will be able to bring their friend for free on their birthday week too!
The Triple Park Annual Pass benefits extends to adults too, as guests with the annual pass can get their friends a 50% discount on tickets until 31 August 2022.
