Oreo’s Celebrating Their 110th Birthday With An Instagram AR Contest

Did you know that our favourite black and white cookie is turning 110 this year?
In conjunction with its birthday this year, OREO is starting off the celebration with their new limited-edition flavour, OREO Birthday Sprinkles. The cookies are the same, but the filling is vanilla and creme-filled sprinkles (what better way to signify birthdays than confetti sprinkles, huh?). The new flavour is available across all supermarkets and hypermarkets in Malaysia from June to July 2022 only.

Additionally, OREO has also launched an AR filter on Instagram that invites people to blow out 110 candles. It’s just a filter with an ‘Oreo Cake’ sticked with a bunch of candles. You’d have to blow out the candles as hard as you can (it looks easy, but it was two futile efforts for me). You can try it here. Good luck blowing all those tiny candles!

Okay, the new flavour and the AR filter are cool and all but let’s be honest, it’s the giveaways we’re excited about! OREO will be giving away 110 exclusive birthday ‘gifts’ to lucky fans for supporting them for 110 years.
All you have to do is blow out all the candles, tag them at @OREOmysg and #WishOreo110 as well as tag three of your other friends.
If any of you get to blow out the 110 candles within 15 seconds using OREO’s AR filter on Instagram, you’ll stand a chance to win an iPhone 13 Pro! You can also get a year’s supply of OREOs of your favourite flavour (vanilla, sprinkles, chocolate, peanut butter). Some other prizes include an exclusive notebook, water tumblr, cap & long sleeve Tshirt and power banks.
