Shopping for clothes can be a nightmare. It’s no surprise when people like Mag (@magmalaya) turn to Twitter for help from other netizens to find the best buys especially when it’s near a festive holiday.

A netizen Zulfadhli (@bbyzulfadhlizin) suggested people get their Raya clothes in Mydin.

He has been buying his Raya clothes from Mydin since he was in high school and the clothes he bought in Form 4 are still in good condition.

His reply caught the attention of the admin of Mydin’s official Twitter account, who suggested Zulfadhli get himself another set of Baju Melayu this year.

In response, Zulfadhli shared an edited picture of his family’s Raya picture and jokingly asked Mydin to sponsor his family’s Raya clothes this year.

Little did he know, his decision to help others with their Raya shopping would be repaid tenfold.

A kind deed repaid

To his surprise, Mydin’s managing director Datuk Wira Dr Haji Ameer Ali Mydin agreed to send him 10 sets of Hari Raya outfits for free in appreciation of Zulfadhli and his family’s loyalty to the brand.

Zulfadhli thanked Dr Haji Ameer and decided that he would donate the clothes sponsored by Mydin to the less fortunate converts (mualaf) in Johor Bahru.

I will organise it with the Hidayah Centre Foundation Johor NGO.

Zulfadhli tweeted.

He also thanked the staff at Mydin Mutiara Rini for helping him pick out the clothes for donation.

Netizens who have also been buying their Raya clothes from Mydin attest to the quality of the clothes and the reasonable prices too.

They said the material feels comfortable and perfect for our humid weather.
