Most people are happy enough to pocket a small amount of money they found in public. However, a Facebook user in Singapore came across an RM1 note with a love signature scribbled on it and decided to try returning the cash to the couple.
On Monday, 4 April, Maniarasi Munusamy posted in a Facebook group Malaysia-Singapore Border Crosses (MSBC) to begin the search.
She found the note in Tekka, Little India, and put out a public appeal so that the couple can collect their sweet note back. The couple can contact Maniarasi on Facebook.
The words on the note mentioned two names with a date 12 June 2005 within a heart. The date could be the first time they met or their anniversary.
The name Kelly can be easily read while the other name is less legible. The other name could either read Colin, Goth, Glen or something else.
Netizens think the Ringgit note is a sweet token of the couple’s love. However, some netizens pointed out that the couple might have broken up or separated.
Others joked that the note signifies a relationship scandal. If that’s true, it might reopen old wounds.
One of them also joked that the couple won’t collect it because they’ve upgraded to RM100.
Hopefully, the couple is still together and there will be a good end to this romantic mystery.
