Serial entrepreneur Neelofa started her Nilofa flavoured milk business about three years ago. The company produced milk flavours such as chocolate, banana, mango and durian.
Recently, a Twitter user Zayed (@ZZulkifli) shared a TikTokk video showing a long line of cars outside a warehouse in Klang.
It turned out that everyone was queuing up to get free boxes of Nilofa milk so Zayed scored himself some of the drinks too.
Aku pun dapat susu nilofa ni. Aku rasa susu nilofa ni tak laku, manufacturing date 2020, expiry date 09/03/2022. Sebab tu dia sedekah je lah.

Jujurnya, bila aku rasa susu perisa durian ni, tak rasa durian langsung. Rasa durian sintetik je. Susu perisa pisang dia pun out. pic.twitter.com/4PfjTdyA5S
Zayed said maybe Neelofa’s milk products weren’t as popular as people thought because the milk was manufactured in 2020 and expires on 9 March 2022 with so much stock leftover.
Since the expiry date was so close, he believed that was why boxes of the milk were given away for free. Apparently, one box usually costs RM108.
He said the durian milk tasted synthetic and the banana milk didn’t taste good either.
Netizens said he was ungrateful
Some netizens criticised him for looking at the negative side of things when Neelofa was doing a good deed for giving away the milk without charge.
They told him that he shouldn’t have taken the drinks if he didn’t like the taste. The others also said the people voluntarily took the boxes of milk for free so it harmed no one.
In response, a netizen said people should still donate or perform charity by giving away items in good condition and not nearly expired products.
Dia bagi free sebab kalau nak lupus kan/buang lagi banyak makan cost sebenarnya

So bagi free je laa. lagipun orang datang ambik sendiri.
Another netizen pointed out that a shelf life of two years is too long for milk and wondered what additives are put in the milk.
Someone else clarified that not all Nilofa milk expires on 9 March and believed that the durian flavour wasn’t popular so that was why it was given away for free.
Pasteurised milk had 2 to 3 weeks of shelf life, must be refrigerated.

UHT milk lasts up to 1 year in aseptic packaging. No need to refrigerate.
This milk lasted for 2 years? Idk what additive they put in it.
Okay cuma nak bagitau tak semua expiry date 9/3. Ada nampak expiry date 16/3, 27/3 tapi yang pasti sama ada bulan ni atau bulan depan. Perisa durian ni nampak lah memang kurang sambutan berbanding perisa lain. Sebab tu perisa ni ja depa bagi free.
