In case you didn’t know, Sunway Pyramid lit up the bat signal above the mall to celebrate the release of The Batman movie that’s showing on 3 March.

TikTok user Zoe (@zoewiththecurlyhair), whose company Revival Productions was hired to execute the project, uploaded a video to show behind-the-scenes.

In order to make the Bat-Signal more visible in the dark sky, they used artificial cloud machines and high powered laser beams.

Some people couldn’t see it

Unfortunately, some excited fans didn’t get to see the Bat-Signal and claimed all they saw was just blurry lights in the sky.

Some said the Bat-Signal was projected onto Sunway Pyramid’s Lion head instead of being projected in the sky.

To this, Zoe explained that it could have been the time when the team was waiting for the artificial clouds to kick in.

Another person waited for two hours from 7pm and saw nothing. They only saw it when they decided to have dinner in the mall so they advised others to go a bit later to catch the signal.

Zoe admitted that the Bat-Signal couldn’t be seen from certain angles. Some people have reported that they could see the Bat-Signal from a nearby Caltex station.

Despite the minor hiccups, those who got to see the Bat-Signal said it was like Gotham city coming to life.

Second chance to catch the signal

If you’ve missed the chance to spot the Bat-Signal at Sunway Pyramid, you might have another chance to catch it at Berjaya Times Square.

The Bat-Signal at Berjaya Times Square will be switched on tonight (4 March) until 11.30pm.

For the best vantage point, Zoe recommends watching from the Swiss-Garden Residences as shown in her other video.
