As Malaysians faced what has been described as a “crisis within a crisis” with the advent of the pandemic and the recent floods, the country felt a lil’ safer knowing that a lone “makcik” was on patrol at a local flood relief centre – seeking to eliminate any infectious “bugs”.
A video shared by a flood-relief volunteer Nurulliana on Instagram captured footage of a woman who was hard at work sanitizing the relief centre.
Armed with one of those sanitiser spray guns, “Makcik Sanitizer” (as Nurulliana calls her) was seen busy spraying down and disinfecting almost everything and everyone there.
The 38-second clip made Makcik Sanitizer an instant hero in the eyes of netizens.

We tip our hat to Makcik Sanitizer for once again proving that not all heroes wear capes! Some wear a tudung instead.
