“We must always endeavour to be thoughtful and kind,” said Pizza Hut, breaking the silence following the viral attention the company received when videos of its employees tending to a supposedly disabled (OKU) customer in Perak spread online.
As the story goes, a woman was caught yelling and allegedly called the police on the restaurant when she found out that their oven was out of order due to a lightning strike.
Saying that it takes the matter very seriously, Pizza Hut Malaysia’s management team explained that they do not tolerate hateful or hurtful statements aimed towards the customer.
The team said that police had been prompt to deescalate the situation when it happened, and the customer got the pizza she wanted when the broken oven was fixed.
The company also gave a pat on the back to its staff who remained composed in attending to a customer’s needs.
They truly stood by Pizza Hut’s motto of providing satisfaction to our customers as best as we can, and even in situations in which the issue cannot be immediately resolved, our staff will try to the best of their ability to resolve the issue.via The Management of Pizza Hut Malaysia.
