It looks like people in Perlis, Sarawak, and the Federal Territory of Labuan in Sabah are savouring the taste of their rediscovered freedom as their areas now move into Phase 3 of the National Covid-19 Recovery Plan (PPN) beginning 4 August.

The PPN is a four-stage outline drawn by Prime Minister Tan Sri Mahiaddin Md Yasin’s administration last June to bring us out of the Covid-19 crisis by December 2021.

According to the plan, Phase 3 will be enacted in territories where infections have fallen below 2,000 cases a day and where 40% of its population have been vaccinated.

Among the standard operating procedure (SOP) relaxations made in Phase 3 zones include the reopening of all economic activities except those deemed to be high-risk sectors listed in the ‘negative list’ like pubs and nightclubs.

This means that folks there are now able to eat out and dine in at restaurants again with health SOPs like physical distancing still in place.

Tonight, we feast!

Becoming the envy of the rest of the country, residents in Phase 3 have been deliciously sharing scenes of their culinary exploits – from enjoying a cup of coffee to chowing down on a plate of nasi goreng.

Citizens in Sarawak also boasted that they had been able to dine in since July.

Hopefully, the rest of the country would soon get to rekindle our makan-makan spirit and enjoy eating out again 🤞🥺🤞 #malaysiabolehmakan
