Petronas has done it again. Their latest web film for Merdeka and Malaysia Day is making waves online for its important message about unity.
Adorably titled Operasi Koperasi and inspired by a game most Malaysians have played in school, this time Petronas has decided to go with a cute animated story featuring anthropomorphic erasers whose personalities each represent a Malaysian state.
In the video, the erasers, which live in a school co-operative, work together to get each other out of trouble.
The story explores what it means to be united while highlighting Petronas’ festive campaign theme, “Our Unique Family’. It also celebrates togetherness and reminds all Malaysians that we can weather any storm, as long as we stand united.
Malaysians online have been giving the web film favourable reviews, with the most outstanding part of the film being the different dialects used by the erasers.
It's been a while since we got a great Merdeka ad from @Petronas
