S. Pavithra, one half of Malaysia’s favourite cooking duo Sugu Pavithra, revealed that she will not be doing any more modelling shoots after images of her photoshoot for lifestyle portal Pepatung went viral earlier this month.

The 28-year-old YouTuber told BH Online that she never wanted to be a model and that the photoshoot will be her first and last.

I’ve never thought of becoming a model, nor do I want to be a model. I just want to continue with my normal routine of cooking and sharing my recipes on YouTube, while being a mother and wife.

The shy media darling also asserted that she’s just a normal person and is comfortable with that despite accusations from certain parties that she seeks fame and glamour.

On 22nd June, Pavithra’s modelling shots and interview went live on Malay-language lifestyle portal Pepatung – much to the delight of Malaysians who were awed by her beauty and apparent ease in front of the camera.

In the photoshoot styled by Zul Herizal with Razzi Musa’s make up skills, Pavithra posed in some of Malaysia’s most celebrated designer pieces including Bernard Chandran and Rizman Ruzaini.

The Sugu Pavithra YouTube channel started by Pavithra and her husband M. Sugu quickly gained popularity during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period with their clear cooking tutorials and humble approach.

Over the course of two months, their channel ballooned to 700,000 subscribers with well over 100,000 views per video.
