After winning the hearts of the Malaysian public, Sugu Pavithra has also apparently impressed Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin himself.
New Straits Times reported that the popular YouTube duo has recently received a special delivery from Muhyiddin.
It seems that the premier has sent the family, who currently lives on an estate, a camera tripod, microwave, oven, rice cooker, and other cooking essentials.
Speaking to New Straits Times, Pavithra expressed her surprise at receiving the parcel.
I have never thought of receiving gifts from the Prime Minister. Who am I? I am only an ordinary person. I even received a special card from him that had the message: keep up the good work, just stay at home.S. Pavithra via NST
According to Pavithra, nobody had informed her the package would be arriving and the accompanying note did not state the identity of the sender.
Instead, a few hours after it arrived, the Prime Minister’s Office gave her a call to check whether it had arrived safely.
I would like to thank him and meet him personally but I know it is impossible to meet him during this Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).S. Pavithra via NST
Pavithra shared that Muhyiddin also reminded her to continue cooking and to share her delicious fare with her neighbours, which she has apparently been doing.
The mother of two added that she has yet to make use of all the gifts she received. The only item she has used was the camera tripod she set up for a live interview, while she still uses her camera cup to hold her phone while she records her cooking videos.
