Dozens of the escaped cone-victs can be seen sliming up the wall of what appears to be a kitchen of a local seafood restaurant, with some even managing to ooze up to the highest points of the ceiling.

Siput sedut or more commonly known to smart boys as Cerithidea obtusa, is a species of marine snails common in the muddy coastal areas of Southeast Asia.

These tiny molluscs are known to be advent climbers where they can crawl up to a height about 7 metres, reaching the top of trees or stone clifts before jumping back into the muddy shores from which they call home.

These snails have been a staple local delicacy used in delicious dishes such as sambal, lemak cili api, curries, barbequed, and sometimes even eaten raw!
