Dad makes schoolbag out of raffia string for his kid because he can’t afford to buy one

Though Father’s Day has just passed us by, the dad appreciation still continues.
Today, the love goes to this Cambodian father who couldn’t afford to buy a schoolbag for his child, so he made one instead – with RAFFIA STRING.

In a Facebook post by Sophous Suon, pictures of a bright blue bag weaved together using raffia string were shown worn by a young schoolboy.
The bag appeared to be very well made with the string in perfect symmetry, complete with a clasp and straps.

It could even fit in a couple of schoolbooks.

These pictures were accompanied with an explanation by Sophous that roughly translates to “This bag, his father is the one who makes it (made of plastic string). Father’s heart for the children is goodâ€
The post which has garnered almost 6,000 shares at the time of writing was filled with positive messages and admiration for the incredible father.

We don’t know about you, but this story really warms our hearts
and goes to show how amazing dads can really be.
