Kind people are everywhere if you look hard enough.

Especially when it concerns the livelihoods of stray animals around Malaysia.

Recently, a kind lady by the name of Kak Wa shared a heartwarming video on Tiktok of her feeding a homeless dog which she named Tam.

In the video, the stray nicknamed Tam, can be seen running happily towards Kak Wa as she calls out its name with food for it.

She also shared a kind message in the caption:

Korang, jom sama-sama standby makanan haiwan dalam bag atau dalam kereta atau motor tau. Kesian dorang lapar.

In the video, it can also be noted that Tam is scared of humans as she runs away the moment Kak Wa’s husband steps out of his vehicle, but she wholeheartedly trusts Kak Wa.

If one takes a deep dive into animal videos on TikTok, you will find many kind souls who help keep these strays – dog or cat- full and happy.

Another stray feeder is Aunty Aileen, who according to Instagram page @myforeverdoggo has opened her doors to countless homeless dogs in Malaysia.

The 65 year old is so passionate about helping these dogs that she is willing to wake up in the wee hours of the mornings daily just to make time to walk, feed and sometimes even bathe all 35 plus of her rescued dogs.

In a video posted by the Instagram account, Aunty Aileen, who is also the founder of My Pets Haven, shared that they also make sure to spay their female dogs to smoothen the adoption process as well in the worry that some adopters might not want to do it.

She also noted that they also neuter their male dogs to prevent any unwanted pregnancies that could lead to an increase in the number of strays.

Aunty Aileen also added that her organization needs all the help she can get and is always happy to have volunteers come and give her a hand in cleaning the cages and walking the dogs.

Her final message to Malaysians out there?

Please adopt and don’t encourage the breeders. When the buying stops, the breeding stops as well.
