Anfield was filled with the echoes of You Will Never Walk Alone when they trashed and humiliated their biggest rivals to a 7-0 defeat, the first in their history of rivalry.

Liverpool played their finest football in the current season in the game on Sunday defeating the team who just recently won the League Cup.

Many who expected the game to be in the hands of the visitors were proved wrong from the start whistle of the game as Liverpool played with full energy and amazing chemistry throughout the game.

They broke the deadlock just before the end of the first half with a beautiful right leg finish to the far corner from Cody Gakpo, the Dutch international.

However, in the second half, goals were firing in as if the players were having a regular practice session. Right at the start of the second half, Darwin Nunez headed in the second goal followed by a cheeky goal by Gody Gakpo in the span of 3 minutes.

Mohamed Salah who scored twice in the game, has broken a new record by becoming the all time top scorer for Liverpool Football Club with 129 goals surpassing Robbie Fowler.

All the three strikers who started the game scored twice each. The cherry on the cake was the goal from the Brazilian Roberto Firmino, the 7th of the night.

Liverpool lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League but they have now shown more desire and passion to win the games ahead. They also are now finally in a position where they could capture a top 4 place in the Premier League Table with a game in hand.

Malaysian Liverpool fans, as well as fans around the world, have been enjoying the victory . However, they Malaysians fans have been adding their own twist and creativity into the celebration of the victory in social media.

Liverpool, who were expected to be on the losing end because of their current run in the season, proved to everyone that they are not done yet.
