Most individuals wish to improve their health. However, they rarely consider preventing and maintaining the health of their lungs.

It’s possible that you don’t give much thought to lung cancer on a regular basis, but you really should. Your lungs make it possible for you to live the life that you cherish each and every second of the day.

Lungs that are strong are the key to a longer life. However, 99 percent of people are clueless on how to enhance their lung health.

The following are five potent strategies that may be used to grow stronger lungs.

1. Max Heart Rate Cardio

This is heavy lifting for your lungs.

Any exercise that raises your heart rate to its maximum is considered a peak heart-rate cardio session. It might be as short as 30 seconds or as long as 20 minutes.

Do one of them at least once a week.

2. Zone 2 Cardio

This is a type of cardio in which you go slightly over the effort required to hold a conversation.

Aim for 150 to 180 minutes of this form of cardio each week.

3. Diaphragmatic Breathing

Step 1: Inhale deeply through the nose until your stomach expands. Perform for four seconds.

Step 2: Hold for six seconds.

Step 3: Exhale through the nose for eight seconds.

Do this for four to thirteen minutes.

4. Nose Breathing

It is effective to breathe through your nose to provide oxygen to your body.

It hydrates the air you breathe in while filtering out impurities.

Try to breathe through your nose while performing the cardio exercises mentioned above to increase lung capacity.

5. Fix Your Posture

The lungs will only take up the space you give them.

Raise your shoulder blades, place your tongue on the roof of your mouth, and rise your chest.

Do this while sitting or standing to allow your lungs to breathe fully.

Between the ages of 30-50, we lose up to 15% of our lung capacity. By age 80, we lose up to 30%.

Try to do these five things every day. Work out often, limit your exposure to pollution, stay away from infections, and take deep breaths.

By putting a little effort into these things, you can help your lungs work well for the rest of your life.
