Takiyuddin Checks In Hospital For Possible Heart Problems, Is In Stable Condition Now

Law Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan was admitted to hospital last Friday to undergo a heart-related procedure for three hours, according to reports.

Sources told Utusan Malaysia that due to his health problems, the PAS Secretary-General and was brought in to IHEAL Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur for treatment.

He underwent an angiogram for 3 hours and reports say that his situation is currently stable.

According to the British Heart Foundation, an angiogram is a common test for people with possible heart symptoms.

Takiyuddin was supposed to talk about matters related to the Emergency Ordinance at the Special Meeting of the Dewan Rakyat today before it was postponed.

The Kota Bharu MP previously said in Parliament that the government, based on Article 150(3) of the Federal Constitution, had revoked all Emergency Ordinances and added that they will not advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to extend the Emergency beyond 1 August.

A total of six Emergency Ordinances were gazetted and have been revoked on July 21.

This prompted a reaction from Istana Negara as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah said that the repeal was done in a hurry and was not discussed in Parliament.
