Perak Police Investigating Nasi Ganja Fly-By Incident

PDRM said investigations on-going to find out whether SOPs were breached.

Nasi ganja, a simple, yet insanely delicious cuisine which hails from Ipoh has its fair share of fans, with people often flocking to Perak just to get a taste at a time when Malaysians can still travel interstate.

With Malaysia fighting a pandemic right now, it’s not really possible to just grab the keys, hit the road and head to Ipoh to get some of that nasi ganja goodness, but some have improvised.

Heli lands on Padang Ipoh for some fly-by nasi ganja

Utusan reported that a helicopter landed on Padang Ipoh at 9.55 am to 10.15 am to take 36 packs of nasi ganja and deliver them to die-hard customers who ordered the meal in Kuala Lumpur.

State Police Chief Datuk Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said in a statement that after checking Ipoh Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), it was revealed that the helicopter only had permission to land at the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS).

No permission was given for it to land at Padang Ipoh.

Police opens investigation papers

Perak police has said confirmed that they will conduct investigations on the incident for violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) related to the prohibition of cross-district or state.

We will open investigation paper for the SOP violation on both the individual and the company.
