The government is rolling out the mobile community vaccination programme (Movak) to plantations and Selangor’s public housing projects (PPR) to get them vaccinated.

The programme was initially for 500,000 small and petty traders but has now been expanded to those communities because of the high number of cases which doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

Housing and Local Government Minister, Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin said that it will involve the use of 15 buses which will focus on 12 local authority (PBT) areas and high-density PPR in the state, before heading to other states.

It’s reported that 10 more buses will be added to the programme and sent to plantations across the country to ensure no one is left out.

Besides Selangor, the programme will also be deployed in Kuala Lumpur, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu, based on reports from Berita Harian.
