EPF Embraces Digitalisation With e-Payroll
The new feature will benefit most to SMEs.
Employers rejoice! The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has just launched e-Payroll – a simplified, hassle-free system to facilitate employer’s statutory obligations.
e-Payroll plays an important role in helping employers manage records digitally while facilitating the contribution process
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz during e-Payroll’s virtual launch today (18 June).
This comes after EPF announced on their Facebook that all office and service counters, including appointments made online (JTO), will be closed temporarily until 28 June when the ‘total lockdown’ period is said to end.
EPF embraces digitalisation
Following the launch, an e-Payroll brochure was made available on their website that gives employers assurance of easier accessibility, seamless user experience and smooth transactions.
The system, which mainly benefits small and medium enterprises (SMEs), allows employers to digitally store records of their employees including that of salary.
In addition, automatic calculation of contributions will help to reduce the time needed to manage operations related to statutory compliance.
