The jet flight which was boarded by Religious Affair Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri recently was fully sponsored by the Muslim World League – an NGO which is reportedly supported by the Saudi government.
He replied to a user on Twitter who asked the cost of the flight to get to the Middle East by saying that it was sponsored due to the good relations between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
Seperti yg telah saya nyatakan dalam kenyataan media sejak awal lagi, ini adalah jemputan Rabitah al-‘Alam al-Islami. Semua ditaja sepenuhnya kerana hubungan baik antara kedua-dua buah negara. Terima kasih atas keprihatinan.

On a jet plane
The trip raised eyebrows after videos surfaced on social media of Zulkifli and other government officials travelling to the kingdom via a jet plane, which seems like a luxury considering that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reportedly claimed the government doesn’t have that much money after spending on Covid-19.
