Covid-19: It’s Malaysia’s Deadliest Day So Far With 21 Deaths

A new record was set today, 2 February 2021, with 21 deaths reported in Malaysia due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
The previous highest number of deaths was 18, on 22 January.
With today being the highest number of Covid-19 deaths in a day to date, Malaysia’s coronavirus death toll now stands at 791.
3,455 new Covid-19 cases were also recorded today with the highest number of cases from Selangor (1,145), Johor (708) and Kuala Lumpur (619).
Malaysia currently has 47,847 active infections, whereby 327 patients are in ICU with 145 patients on the ventilator.
