MOHE: These College & Uni Students Allowed Back On Campus From 1st March Onwards
However, classes will be conducted via hybrid learning.

The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) has announced that some college and university students will be allowed back on campus from 1st March onwards.
In a statement released yesterday (31 Jan), MOHE assured that the decision was made following discussions with the Health Ministry (MOH), National Security Council (MKN), student bodies and health experts.
As a result, 6 categories of students are allowed to return to their respective campuses from 1st March onwards to resume hybrid teaching and learning sessions (PDP) – which comprises both physical and online lessons:
- Those with no online learning access
- Students that require practical, laboratory, studio, & workshop sessions -This applies to students taking certifications, diplomas, bachelor’s degrees and postgraduates.
- Foundation level or Diploma students already on campus can continue with hybrid learning sessions
- All international students (current and new) except those from UK
- Students with special needs / persons with disabilities (PWD)
- Students taking the Malaysian University English Test (MUET), or international and professional examinations
The hybrid learning sessions will be fully compliant with standard operating procedures (SOP) to curb Covid-19 infections. Students not identified in the categories above will continue with their classes online.
What about students travelling back to campus between East & West Malaysia?
Students cleared to return to campuses in Sabah and Sarawak will be required to undergo Covid-19 swab test, paid for by MOH.
Students who enter Sarawak must undergo 14-day quarantine whereby the cost will be borne by the Sarawak state government.
As for Sabah and Sarawak students travelling to campuses in the peninsula, they will be placed at isolation centres prepared by their respective institutions of higher learning to ensure that they are free from any Covid-19 symptoms.
