Malaysia has recorded 18 deaths today from Covid-19, the highest ever recorded since the pandemic began here.
It broke the previous record set on 16th January 2021 when 16 deaths were recorded.
This raises the number of deaths from the coronavirus in Malaysia to 660.
Meanwhile, 3,631 new cases have been recorded today and 2,554 more recoveries, bringing the total now to 176,180 cases recorded with 132,706 recoveries.
Currently, there are 42,814 active cases including 251 patients in ICU and 102 on ventilators.
Selangor again had the most new cases (782) followed by Johor (466), Sabah (453), K. Lumpur (435), Sarawak (229), P. Pinang (202), N. Sembilan (197), Terengganu (178), Kedah (166), Kelantan (161) and Perak (138).
Only Melaka (82), Pahang (61), Putrajaya (39), Labuan (29) and Perlis (13) had less than 100 cases.
